About the project :

Introduction:

Hi,

My name is Narayanan Mummidi and I am raising funds to empower Farmers & hawkers spread across pan India.

I have created a website connecting Farmers, Hawkers and Consumers and all other stake holders involved in the supply chain of organised retailing of essential farm and farm products like Rice,Wheat, Vegetables,Fruits and packaged food products.

This initiative is about empowering farmers and hawkers to have acess to modern technology to improve their livelihood by connecting to their marketplace or customers to sell their goods at better prices for maximum benefit.

I am a son of an hawker who sells clothings in the streets.

I am a Social and Serial Entrepreneur engaged in various Starups that tries to change the wellbeing of the common man and society at large.

I have completed my B.Com course in Sir Theagaraya Evening College affiliated to Madras University with Advanced Accounting Management as my major subject.

In daytime I was working with a CHA firm viz Maritime (India) Services, Chennai for about nine years as a Accountant cum Manager.

After that I have worked with various firms across various sectors like Garment Exports,Transport, Chemical Industry,Food & Beverage Industry & Iron and Steel Trading.

I've created this project for the purpose of bringing in changes of prosperity’ wellbeing in the lives of downtrodden farmers and hawkers.

How will it benefit farmers and Hawkers?

My project Egroceryshop serves as a digital platform connecting farmers, hawkers and consumers to have direct acess to each other. My website link is http://egroceryshop.mybigcommerce.com/

This project will address the following issues.

1.Farmers have direct acess to consumers to market their products at best price.

2.Removes middlemen in the supply chain of groceries.

3. Maximise profit for farmers

4. Provides cashless transactions to pedlars who sells groceries in the streets by using various smartphone enabled payment apps to receive payments direct to their bank acount.

5.This helps pedlars to save money in the bank and avoid unnecessary withdrawals.

6. Arrests constant upwardrise in prices of groceries through organised retailing by creating a reliable supply chain between farmers, stockist, marketing agencies, wholesellers and retail kiranashops at every nook and corner of the city.

7.Consumers wil have the choice to purchase all their consumer needs from the comfort of their home through online shopping .

  1. Reduces carbon emission by eliminating travel by motor vehicle to buy their daily needs of essential groceries.

Thus Egroceryshop tries to solve the myth of Farm to Fork concept a reality in the very near future.

Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean.

Like wise small amount of money funded by every individual can change the conditons of Farmers and street vendors by having acess to modern technologies and to harness them to improve the livelihood and quality of life.

livelihood refers to their "means of securing the basic necessities -food, water, shelter and clothing- of life". and overall quality of life.

Quality of life (QOL) is the general well-being of individuals and societies, outlining negative and positive features of life.

It observes life satisfaction, including everything from physical health, family, education, employment, wealth, safety, security, freedom, religious beliefs, finance and the environment.

To bring in the above environment among Farmers, Hawkers (street vendors) and the general public who always struggles to maintain his family budget because of constant price rise in food, fuel, transportaion cost, education, healthcare due to inflation.

To arrest the above scenario and to stabilize prices of essential commodites we need sufficient funds to strategise our business thru organised retailing of Farm and farm products.
